We offer an ever increasing range of craft & design workshops ranging from glass fusing, small scale silversmithing, decoupaged glass jewellery to textile jewellery making, ceramic & felt bead making. Our workshops are taught by talented designers, artists & craft professionals and are inspiring, rewarding and above all fun!
Workshops are held at our studio in the pretty riverside location of Ickleton, just outside Cambrigde. Class sizes are limited (maximum of 8 people, depending on the workshop) to allow for personalized instruction and one-on-one opportunities.
NEW! Metal Stamping Workshop
Learn to make jewellery from sheet metal and wire.
This series of workshops will teach you the basics of working with metal. You will be working mostly with copper and brass to produce beautiful jewellery for you to take home (sterling silver sheets will be available to purchase if required).
We will explore forming and forging and easy ways of producing your own small charms from sheet metal, making holes, opening and closing jump ring correctly and making your own earring hooks.
On this workshop you will also learn how to personalise your jewellery using design stamps, texturing hammers, letter & number stamps to add dates or special words.
Depending on the project chosen you will learn a variety of techniques including: metal preparation, annealing, stamping & texturing, forging & forming, oxidizing, polishing and riveting.
Project materials, tools equipment & refreshements provided. You will have the opportunity to make several pieces of jewellery to take home.
Metal Stamping Workshop Half Day. Cost £35.00 The workshop will take place on Wednesday 17th April 2013. This workshop runs from 10am-1pm and is limited to 4 people so book early to avoid disappointment.

Decoupage is the creative technique of decorating an object with cut-outs of paper which are then coated with several layers of varnish to seal and protect them.
Most people associate decoupage with furniture or pottery, however this technique can be effectively used on glass to create some very lovely jewellery pieces and accessories.
You'll be shown how to make decoupaged glass tiles choosing from a large selection of high quality colourful Japanese Chiyogami papers and transform them into beautiful jewellery pieces or accessories to take home. Pendants, Rings, Earrings, Hairslides, Brooches, or Cufflinks.
No previous experience in jewellery making is required. All materials included
2 hrs- Cost £20 per person, including materials (maximum 6 places)
Jewellery making is a great hobby, its relaxing, engrossing and creative. Just imagine.... creating any piece of jewellery you want to match any outfit.
No previous experience in jewellery making is required. One-to-one lessons or group tuition.
During the workshop we'll teach you the basics of making beaded jewellery. You will be shown various techniques for making necklaces, bracelets, earrings, bag charms, phone charms and more.
You'll be working Tigertail - a strong, flexible, nylon-covered wire - assorted findings & beads to create some fantastic jewellery pieces.
Cost for a 2hrs workshop is £30 including materials (silverplated findings and a standard beading pack). Maximum 8 places.
You will be shown how to make secure loops and take home a fun & colourful silverplated charm bracelet and a pair of coordinated earrings. No previous experience in jewellery making is required. All material included. Max 8 places
You will learn a variety of different ways to make beads such as marbled felt balls and spiral beads to use in necklaces, bracelets and earrings. A wide range of coloured fleece, beads, sequins, leather thong and jewellery findings will be available for you to use during the workshop.
The workshops is suitable for both beginners and more experienced beaders

GLASS FUSING TASTER COURSE
A one day introductory course on glass fusing. The course is suitable for complete beginners or those with little experience.
The workshop is structured to give each participant the necessary skills to design and make their own piece of fused glass to create unique gifts and artworks. We will cover basic techniques for cutting and shaping glass; layering and layout; using metal inclusions, foils, meshes, wire; decorating with frit and stringers and confetti and dichroic glass.
Using coloured and dichroic glass, you will be able to design and make various pieces of jewellery: pendants, earrings, brooches, etc.
Tuition will include:
•Introduction of glass types and forms: COE and compatibility, Bullseye and Dichroic glass, sheet glass, frits, powders, stringers and confetti
•Introduction to basic glass working: general health and safety precautions, kiln safety, design, glass cutting, shaping and layering components for fusing, kiln preparation, various kiln fusing techniques, inclusions, fire polishing.

One-to-One Jewellery Tuition
In addition to running jewellery workshops, I can also be booked for one-to-one jewellery making tuition and sessions can be booked for weekdays, evenings or weekends. Suitable for beginners and improvers.
A minimum one-to-one booking is just two hours, from £25 per hour (including materials, per person).
